Covergirl's TruBlend Fix Stick comes in a chubby, color matched twist up tube, quite similar to the ever trendy jumbo lip crayons. This crayon concealer is topped off with a firmly fitting clear cap. The product name, Covergirl logo, shade name and coordinating numbers are printed on the tube in white lettering.
Unlike most stick concealers, Covergirl's TruBlend Fix Stick is creamy, it glides on to the skin. This concealer is decently blendable - I recommend using a rounded brush like Royal&Langnickel's Dome Shadow Brush, it seems to work best, but your fingers or a flat brush will also do. Fix Stick offers medium but buildable coverage, a second layer will give you nearly full coverage. The medium to full coverage isn't easy to sheer out. Covergirl's TruBlend Fix Sticks are true multi-taskers, this concealer is actually kinda fantastic for covering redness, as well as blemishes. Tru Blend Fix Stick has just enough thickness to even out bumpy skin textures. This stick concealer is also decent for concealing dark circles - it provides the needed coverage, but I personally prefer a more emollient, thinner formula for under eye concealing. The TruBlend stick concealer does not cling to dry patches or scabbed blemishes. Fix Stick doesn't have the best wear, it seems to only last half the day, even less if you have oily skin. Setting Fix Stick with a powder does help, but it still won't buy you all day wear. On the bright side, Covergirl's stick concealer is super portable, making reapplication somewhat less of a pain.
Covergirl's Fair shade isn't as light as I'd like it to be. Fair is a warm, yellow toned but slightly peachy shade with a natural, skin like finish. Though the undertone matches me better than the above photo shows, Fair is about a shade and a half too dark for me. The warm yellow tone is great for balancing redness, while the slight peachiness helps to cancel out the blueness of under eye circles.
Covergirl's TruBlend Fix Stick is good! No amazing, but it certainly gets the job done. This chubby concealer crayon is a jack of all concealing trades - it covers redness, acne, dark circles, and dark spots. The texture of this concealer is easy to work with. The only issue with the formula is longevity, I wish Fix Stick didn't require reapplication. Color selection is disappointing; as per usual, Covergirl doesn't cater to either end of the skin tone spectrum - the shades are very much in the middle of the road. If you can find a suitable shade, Covergirl's TruBlend Fix Stick Concealer is worth trying.
