I don't dig Maple Holistics packaging honestly - it looks kinda..,amateur? The Winter Blend Shampoo and Conditioner both come in a translucent blue bottle with white caps. White labels wrap around the bottles, offering the product name, a couple claims, a full ingredient list, and a few sparkly snowflakes. Packaging is recyclable.
Maple Holistics says their Winter Blend Shampoo has "taken the world by storm. Special for the holiday season, our brand new Winter Blend formula offers an advanced mint aroma, combining five different mint varieties. Enjoy a cooling winter sensation on your scalp with the application of our new Winter Blend Shampoo." This minty fresh, SLS-free shampoo has a viscous formula that works up into a light but plentiful lather. Maple Holistics recommend leaving this shampoo to sit in for about two or three minutes to 'osmose', but I rinse it out in under a minute; it just seems to work better for me that way. The Winter Blend shampoo does feel quite cooling a little tingly when it comes in contact with the scalp. This shampoo rinses out with minimal effort.
The Winter Blend Conditioner "combines eighteen different silk amino acids with a masterful blend of natural conditioning agents to provide treatment for dry, broken, fragile, and all other hair types. Achieve silky, flowing hair with this therapeutic haircare treatment." Maple Holistics Winter Blend Conditioner is a medium weight, creamy consistency that spreads easily through wet hair. This conditioner lacks the distinct tingle of the coordinating shampoo. Maple Holistics doesn't give a recommendation for how long you should keep their conditioner in, but I usually give it a good five minutes to do it's thang. The Winter Blend conditioner rinses out easily.
Honestly I haven't seen very good results while using Maple Holistics Winter Blend Shampoo and Conditioner, in fact, I feel like my hair is in worse shape than it was two months ago. First of all, I don't get a very good clean from these products, so I feel like I need to use more dry shampoo and wash my hair more frequently to keep oil at bay. My long, normal, henna colored hair has been limp, dull, and even more prone to tangling and knots than it usually is ever since I started using these products. On the plus side, this shampoo seems to have no negative effects on negative effects on my henna hair color. The Winter Blend Shampoo and Conditioner both smell fantastic, like natural, herbal mint.
Unfortunately I haven't had a great experience with Maple Holistic Shampoo and Conditioner. That's an understatement really, my hair is suffering - its tangled and kinda dry and its just not in a good place right now. I can't fault Maple Holistics entirely, my hair rarely responds well to ~natural~ hair care. That being said, I don't recommend Maple Holistics Shampoo and Conditioner.
