This conditioner has really nice packaging. Even though its just a sample, you can tell it comes from a pricey salon brand. A white squeeze tube with a screw on white cap. The front of the tube features the product name and a list of ingredients, and makes mentions of certain ingredients that aren't included as well. THe back of the tube is loaded with information, including a description, directions, company info, and a full ingredient list. Kudos to NuMe for creating attractive, functional, informational sample packaging! Plus I love the blue and white color scheme used for the whole Hydro Punch range.
NuMe's Hydro Punch conditioner, if you couldn't assume from the name, is best suited for those with dry or color treated hair. Though my hair isn't dry, it is color treated with henna. Hydro Punch conditioner has a thick, rich consistency and smooths through my wet hair with ease. I don't use this conditioner all over my hair, just on the bottom half and anywhere I have a stubborn knot, since it claims to help detangle. No. No it does not. While I feel like NuMe's conditioner makes my hair a fair bit softer, I feel like it actually leaves my hair in worse condition. The day after I use NuMe's Hydro Punch Conditioner, my hair is, without fail, a tangled gross rat's nest. My hair gets matted enough on it's own, I don't need any product that does this to me! This is the opposite of what a conditioner is meant to do! The worst part is that the Hydro Punch induced knots are even harder to detangle than my usual ones. I also dislike this conditioner's strong, perfumey floral scent, which luckily does not last in my hair.
There was a reason why NuMe's Hydro Punch Conditioner was on my review list for 5 months. It makes my hair go crazy! This stuff does the opposite of what any conditioner should do. White a lot of NuMe's claims sound great, they just doesn't hold true for me. I have one use left and I can't wait to get it over with. I definitely would not purchase a full size version of this conditioner, nor do I think you should try it. There are many better conditioners are the drugstore level for a fraction of the $25 that NuMe is asking.
