Now on to the real review 

 NYX says "Wonder Woman, meet the Wonder Pencil…the essential pencil that fulfills all of your beauty desires. Conquer 3 critical make-up tasks with one product: CONCEAL flaws and blemishes with creamy precision; LINE your lips against lipstick bleeding and fading; and BRIGHTEN your eyes along the water line. Will wonders never cease?". I'd been looking for the NYX Wonder Pencil since it'd come out, but it was always sold out at my local Ulta was always sold out of it. Finally, I tracked one down and bought it for a little more than $4. NYX offers three shades; Light, Medium, and Deep - of course my review is for the light shade. Each Wonder Pencil contains 1g (.04 oz), slightly less than your average pencil liner. NYX is a cruelty free brand. The Wonder Pencil is made in Germany. NYX products can be bough through the brand's website, Cherry Culture, Ulta, Target, and select drugstores.

 Packaging for NYX Wonder Pencil is pretty simple. This multi-tasking product is housed in a traditional wooden pencil with a color matched coating. This pencil is made of a nice, smooth wood that sharpens with ease and does not splinter. The front of the pencil features the NYX and Wonder Pencil logos. The back offers the shade name, a description, and a full ingredient list. The pencil is topped off with a black plastic cap that stays on well.

 Because the NYX Wonder Pencil is so multi-functional, its hard for me to know where to start in this post; in fact, this is my second attempt at reviewing this product. Well, let's start with the Wonder Pencil's most basic function. As an eyeliner, NYX's Wonder Pencil is pretty good, the Light shade is very pale, so it really brightens the waterline. The formula isn't particularly creamy or hard, but it's comfortable when applying to such a sensitive area. I get a decent amount of wear from this pencil on the waterline - roughly three to four hours. Do I prefer it over Rimmel's Nude ScandalEyes Kohl Kajal? Yes and no. I much prefer the shade, but Rimmel's option wears and applies better. The Wonder Pencil is also decent as a concealer. It works best to cover small blemishes and patches of discoloration. As a concealer this pencil is easy enough to blend, but it doesn't last longer than a couple of hours without being set with powder. I don't recommend NYX Wonder Pencil as your everyday concealer, its more of an emergency/touch up concealer. Finally, as a lip liner, the Wonder Pencil is functional but nothing special. It doesn't seem to elongate the wear of my lip products, but it does keep them from smearing and feathering out of the lip line. This is an excellent product if you want to make your lips appear just a little bit larger. Actually, the Wonder Pencil is a good matte highlighter, especially for the cupid's bow.

Did you notice a theme in this review? Like so many multi-tasking products, NYX Wonder Pencil is only ok at each functional. This pencil is best used as an eyeliner, it'll give you a bright, wide eyed look but you'll need to reapply half way through the day. As a concealer or lip liner its passable but you'll find much better products in both categories. Also, this isn't a very sanitary product, if you want to use it as a blemish concealer and eyeliner you'll want to sanitize or at least sharpen it between uses to avoid transferring bacteria. I won't be repurchasing NYX' Wonder Pencil, but I'll continue using it. While it isn't a bad product, I just don't think it's as wonderous as NYX made it out to be.
