Sleek's Dip It Eyeliner's packaging is right on the boarder of cute and insane. The body of the packaging is fine, though a little strangely shaped. The bottle portion of the packaging is made of clear plastic. The product name can be found on the front of the bottle. The shade name can be found on a sticker on the bottom of the bottle. The sticker pulls up to reveal the ingredient list. The top portion of the bottle is where things get a little silly. The cap is, no joke, three inches long and tapers into a rounded point. Why its so long kinda baffles me. The good news is that the super long cap doesn't impede application, it actually makes it a little easier. The long cap becomes a long handle for a small brush application. Because of the elongated handle you can easily adjust your grip, aiding in application. The brush applicator is great, its very thin with just the right amount of stiffness. None of the bristles splay. The brush is really ideal for creating fine, precise lines.
Sleek's Glitter Dip It Eyeliner is actually the best glitter eyeliner I've ever used! Steel contains enough glitter to be opaque in two layers. As with most glitter liners, Steel will look best layered over a non-glitter liner. Unlike most glitter liners, Sleek's Dip It formula dries quickly and doesn't transfer. Because this glitter liner dries so quickly, its easy to add a second layer for additional opacity. Steel doesn't flake off throughout the day, nor does the glitter fall down onto the lashes or under the eye. Removal is easy, you can wash it off with just water, it comes off in one strip.
Steel is a mixture of dark grey, black, and silver glitters, bound together in a clear base. Steel turns out to be a dark grey or gunmetal color when applied. Even though it's a glitter liner I don't feel like Steel is off the wall shimmery, if applied in a very thin liner this eyeliner could totally pass as a dark grey liner with a sheen - perfect for every day wear.
I was pleasantly surprised by Sleek's Glitter Dip It Eyeliner in Steel. Glitter eyeliner can be tricky, but Sleek has it down. The formula wears well, dries quickly, and has good payoff. Really there isn't much more I could ask for in a glitter eyeliner. I really hope Sleek becomes available in America or Australia soon. I've loved everything I've tried from this UK based brand. If you have access to Sleek I encourage you to try their Glitter Dip It Eyeliners. And a special thanks to Rae for introducing me to such a great brand product.
